Embarking on a Transformational Journey: My 200h Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud, Bali

Introduction

The lush landscapes of Ubud, Bali, set the perfect backdrop for a life-changing adventure: My 200h yoga teacher training with House of Om. As I reflect on this transformative journey, the memories flood my mind, painting a vivid picture of growth, self-discovery, and unforgettable experiences. Let me share with you some of the highlights that I experienced during this holistic journey.

Yoga in the Heart of Ubud

Ubud, known for its vibrant energy and spiritual atmosphere, was the ideal location for my yoga teacher training. Surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds and sent of nature, the serene ambiance fueled my connection with yoga and self-awareness.

The Vegan Delight

One of the highlights of the training was the exquisite vegan cuisine that fueled our bodies and nourished our souls. Every meal felt like a celebration of flavors, showcasing the abundance of plant-based options available. The culinary journey was a testament to the holistic lifestyle embraced in Ubud. Something that I really enjoyed were the “silent mornings”: We would wake up at 5am every morning for class, followed by breakfast in silence. We never talked to each over up until 10am, which gave us time to reflect.

Kitchen Harmony

Behind every delicious meal was a team of talented and passionate kitchen staff. Their dedication and love for their craft added an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience. The communal atmosphere in the kitchen became a microcosm of the unity and support we found throughout the training.

Global Connections

The training brought together a diverse group of students from all corners of the world. Connecting with like-minded individuals, each with their unique stories and perspectives, enriched the overall experience. We formed a global yoga community that transcended borders and deepened our understanding of the practice. Our group only consisted of women, which added a very special overall atmosphere to the course.

Wise Guides and Compassionate Teachers

The school I have chosen after many hours of researching was House of Om. Our journey was guided by a group of diverse yoga instructors, whose wisdom and compassion created a nurturing environment for learning and self-exploration. Their teachings went beyond the physical postures, delving into the philosophy, history and spirituality of yoga, enriching our practice on and off the mat.

Melodic Evenings: Kirtan and Unity

One of the most soulful experiences was the Kirtan evening, where the power of mantra and music merged into a harmonious celebration of unity. The melodic vibrations resonated with our spirits, creating a sense of oneness and connection with the broader yoga community.

Ice Bath Challenge: Mind Over Matter

An unexpected adventure awaited us with the ice bath challenge. Facing the discomfort and conquering the mind’s resistance became a powerful metaphor for the mental resilience cultivated during the training. It was a reminder that growth often occurs outside our comfort zones.

Conclusion: A Journey Beyond Asanas

My 200h yoga teacher training in Ubud was not merely a physical journey of perfecting yoga postures but a holistic exploration of the mind, body and soul. The vegan feasts, the camaraderie with global companions, the wisdom of our guides, and the challenges we embraced collectively formed the tapestry of an experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart. As I step forward as a certified yoga teacher, I carry with me the lessons learned in the heart of Bali, ready to share the transformative power of yoga with the world. Namaste.
